Intuit Releases ProAdvisor Online Certification Training for 2011
SALT LAKE CITY (January 25, 2011) — Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) has streamlined its QuickBooks® certification course, making it easier and faster for accounting professionals to become Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors®. This new QuickBooks certification, developed in conjunction with Allen Communication Learning Services, is a series of online financial training modules designed to efficiently guide ProAdvisors through the accreditation process. The newly released 2011 QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification program has several notable updates, including:
-
- Express Lane to Certification. QuickBooks ProAdvisors can become certified by taking one of two exams. Those who already hold the 2009 and 2010 certifications can take an abbreviated recertification exam. Those who do not already hold the 2009 and 2010 certifications must take the more comprehensive certification exam.
-
- Customized Training Experience. Training courses are available throughout the calendar year, with nine topical courses to help potential ProAdvisors prepare for the certification exam. Accounting professionals can choose which preparation courses they wish to take and receive the appropriate number of CPE credits.
- Help Me Find the Answers. Regardless of the exam, all questions correlate with the preparatory training courses. When a potential ProAdvisor answers a question incorrectly, the program lists the courses and lessons the candidate should focus on to help pass a future exam.
“We developed the new QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification program to help ProAdvisors educate themselves and take the exams at their own convenience,” said Alison Ball, senior program manager for certifications and partner relations at Intuit. Created with Allen Communication Learning Services, the program addresses several learner requirements.
“This updated series of online courses ensures that accounting professionals will get high-quality training and certification, with the convenience of anytime, anywhere access.” said Ron Zamir, chief executive officer of Allen.
Intuit lists all Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors on its Find-a-ProAdvisor referral website, which, in 2010, received an average of more than 34,000 – and growing – small business owners looking to find local QuickBooks experts each month. ProAdvisors needing certification or those seeking the Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor status can get information about the membership program and certification at http://proadvisor.intuit.com.
