Restaurant wins bronze for innovative Toppings Game created with Allen Communication
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Oct. 20, 2015 – International restaurant franchise Domino’s has won a bronze Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Award for Best Custom Content. The company was recognized for its Toppings Game, created in partnership with Allen Communication.
The Toppings Game is a web-based, gamified microlearning course with three mini courses to help employees learn how to quickly, accurately make pizza. It also has on-the-job reference tools to give employees hands-on practice and quick access to information at any time. The voluntary course is effective, engaging and on-brand.
The initial launch of the program has been successful, and other courses for different menu offerings have already been developed.
“My team exists to increase capability and productivity in the organization,” said Adam Huddleston, Domino’s Director of Operations Training and Support. “Many people recognize that we’re a forward thinking brand with cutting-edge technology and innovative programs. Our training programs must also represent who we are as a brand.”
Domino’s has also received three Horizon awards and two Tellys this year in recognition of the sound instructional design and beautiful graphic design in the Toppings Game.
Ron Zamir, AllenComm President and CEO, said, “These awards show the depth of Domino’s commitment to learning. They understand that learning and development should not only reflect their brand, but help drive the innovation and future of the company.”
