Our Story
Allen Communication, founded in 1981, is a pioneer in the corporate training industry. We were the first to connect an Apple II computer to a LaserDisc player for interactive training. Soon after, we introduced instructional design and media services to make those solutions viable. Then, to increase the scalability of these solutions, we developed one of the first authoring platforms, Designer’s Edge, and one of the first learning management systems, Manager’s Edge.
In 2002, after significant volatility in the market, Ron Zamir and Paul Zackrison purchased the company and defined a new vision for the organization. Under their leadership and sound growth strategy, the new AllenComm, grew exponentially by shifting the focus of our core business to learning services rather than software. Additionally, our technical experts broadened their expertise to encompass all commercially available learning tech. This enabled us to stay at the forefront of innovation and provide better support to our clients. Since then, we have worked with more than half of the Fortune 500 and many Fortune 1000 companies. Over the 40+ years that we’ve been in business, we’ve won hundreds of awards, mostly for our client collaborations.
As both technology and learning science have progressed, AllenComm has led the industry in developing real-world applications for emerging tech. Our next evolution is an expansion of our client offerings—to include advisory and talent services that complement our design and tech solutions.
