About This Project
Company culture is vital to collaborative workspaces that help team members thrive—especially when a business is expanding on a global scale. After years of rapid growth, Pure Storage uncovered a need for a comprehensive messaging and development campaign to share the story of their company history, customers, products, and values with more than 5,600 team members across the world.
That’s what started Simply Pure, a scalable program that promotes goals through individual leadership, powerful values, and one united, compelling narrative to help team members visualize how their actions can make an impact.
Solutions
AllenComm partnered with Pure Storage to create a unique program structure and content that reflects internal marketing communications, which engages learners through appealing visuals and thought-provoking language that inspires them to find both value and reward in the experience.
The program introduces not only the history of Pure Storage, but also defines unfamiliar terms and provides contextual stories to generate excitement. The narrative-oriented approach puts learners in charge of their experience, allowing them to select any of the five learning topics based on what they want to know, rather than having to follow a defined path created for them.
Each core topic takes about 15-20 minutes, with a strategic blend of executive videos, motion graphic videos, interactive activities (such as business pitch prompts, confidence assessments, or customer-focused scenarios to create empathy). They also include additional resources and contacts to support learners as they connect to the brand culture, understand the company’s products, own their performance, and pursue career development.
Results
- After 6 months, more than 2,300 Pure Storage team members participated in the program.
- Participants say they know more about company products, how the business operates, and what the company mission is.
- Participants say they are more connected personally with their jobs because they understand how they fit into the bigger picture.
